Frage von DR Eisendraht: Ist ein AKtiv-Rollstuhl bei PPS (Post-Polio-Syndrom) wirklich sinnvoll ?
PPS Patienten leiden zuvorderst an einer Muskelschwäche in Armen und Beinen. Hier ist nun der Aktiv Rollstuhl gefragt, der die Aktivitäten womöglich fördern kann. Andererseits ist das Krankheitsbild eher so, dass die Kraft nicht ausreicht, den Aktivrollstuhl zu betreiben. Eine elektrische Bewegungshilfe wäre hier sicher sinnvoller – oder?

Eine elektrische Bewegungshilfe wäre in diesem Fall nicht nur sinnvoll,
sondern auf jeden Fall auch sicherer.
Man benutzt einen Rollstuhl nicht nur in Haus und Garten, sondern auf Gehwegen,
Fußgängerüberwegen, also auch im Straßenverkehr.
Gezielte Muskelübungen, bei jeder Krankheit sind auf jeden Fall sinnvoll,
aber nicht in Form eines Aktiv-Rollstuhls.
